Architectural Design & Build

We encompass the best of both architecture and construction activities, as it provides a ‘one-stop shop’ service in order to ensure that we deliver the best solutions for our clients.

The key advantages of procuring projects via AD&B are as follows:

  • Our approach to interior design and the built environment is led by in-house and-outsourced architects, providing you with the qualified specialism appropriate to your building and commercial sector.

    The architectural 'edge'

  • A true ‘one stop shop’. We design it, specify it, tender it and build it. All in-house and to an agreed budget.

    Fixed-price cost control

  • Each project we undertake has a dedicated qualified Project Manager to plan and oversee pre-construction, materials, quality control and task management for his team, typically comprising of a Quantity Surveyor, Site Manager, Procurement Manager and Health and Safety Officer.

    Fixed-price cost control

Client liaison is essential to a successful outcome so each of our projects has a dedicated director level client point of contact from start to finish and beyond.

  • We work to attain the highest standards in BREEAM assessment with sustainable materials and solutions to make buildings carbon neutral for the future.

Carbon neutral is a mission, not a dream.

  • Most projects require mechanical, electrical and public health installations or alterations. We use qualified engineering consultants to design these elements for us so you get fit for purpose heating, cooling and plumbing systems. Systems built to a design and to a budget.

    Mechanical, electrical & public health

Simplify and accelerate project success: Our holistic approach ensures seamless integration of design and build functions, offering fixed cost, fixed time, and design compliance.

The fundamental advantage of working with our team at & Stenball is that all design and build functions are carried out by a single entity who will be responsible for all building works and all associated design works

Having an architectural practice and a wider design team, in effect, inhouse, allows clarity of design solutions at a very early stage which in turn enable a very rapid bottoming out of the key variables of cost, time, and quality of the finished product.

This holistic, one stop shop method of working allows a very rapid transition from concept to completed site stages with a very fast-tracked route to the eventual solution.

The Stenball Group has built its reputation turning around projects in extremely short timeframes and highly logistically challenging sites, often located in city centres. They are therefore highly capable of dealing with the peculiarities of building design and construction and fully understand what is involved in effective building delivery.

Fixed cost

Fixed time

Design compliance

  • During this work stage, we work closely with our clients in order to fully understand their project brief requirements in order to inform the next concept stage.

    Preparation and Briefing

  • Having agreed a comprehensive project brief, our team focuses on the production of initial design material and updates key cost and time parameters, building control approval advice is sought

    Concept Design

  • During this work stage, the concept design is firmed up, final plans are agreed and the Scope of Works is created and agreed.

    Spatial Coordination and Planning

  • The agreed scheme technical design is produced and the project is now ready for costing and tendering.

    Technical Design and Tender

  • The works are delivered to an agreed timescale and agreed budget. Ongoing design matters, technical drawings and all approvals complete the physical package.

    Manufacturing and Construction

The AD&B Process

We provide a staged approach throughout the typical RIBA plan of work stages, which allows our clients the freedom to participate in the procurement plan at anytime from initial concept design through to the final handover and beyond.
